CERTIFICATIONS IN GERMAN LANGUAGE
Goethe-Zertifikat - Goethe-Institut
The German language exams of the Goethe-Institut are based on the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):
Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start in Deutsch 1 and Fit in Deutsch 1 (level A1): certifies a very basic knowledge of the German language;
Goethe-Zertifikat A2: Start in Deutsch 2 and Fit in Deutsch 2 (level A2): demonstrates that you are able to communicate in German in a simple way;
Goethe-Zertifikat B1: (level B1): certifies basic knowledge of the German language and autonomy in everyday situations. In Germany it is required as a basic knowledge of the language for public and private employment and for the acquisition of German citizenship;
Goethe-Zertifikat B2 and Zertifikat Deutsch für den Beruf (the latter for business German) (level B2): they certify a good knowledge of the German language; Goethe-Zertifikat B2 is recognized as a prerequisite for admission to the German faculties;
Goethe-Zertifikat C1 (level C1): certifies advanced knowledge of the language;
Goethe-Zertifikat C2: Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom (level C2): requires an advanced level of knowledge of the German language. The diploma at the highest level of the evaluation scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages and allows foreign students access to German universities.
The Goethe Institut exams generally consist of four parts: listening, reading, writing and speaking.

​CERTIFICATIONS IN GERMAN LANGUAGE
DAF - Institut of Hagen
The diploma issued by the Institut of Hagen is a higher level certificate aimed at those who intend to carry out their studies in Germany.
It corresponds to levels B2 - C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference.
The exam is divided into four sections (written comprehension, oral, written production, oral production) and depending on the result obtained in each of them one of these three levels is assigned:
TestDaf-level 3 (level B2.1): allows access to some universities in Germany;
TestDaf-level 4 (level B2.1): useful for attending most German universities;
TestDaf-level 5 (level C1.2): certifies the excellent knowledge of German and allows you to attend any university course;
Each university has its own admission regulations, so it is better to inquire with the University first to find out which level of TestDaF is required.

CERTIFICATIONS IN GERMAN LANGUAGE
Austrian Diploma of Knowledge of the Language (ÖSD) - Republic of Austria
For those who intend to study or look for work in Austria, the Deutsch in Österreich is an authorized center for carrying out qualifying exams of all levels of the Austrian diploma of knowledge of the German language.
The exam is divided into four levels:
GD - Grundstufe Deutsch 1 and 2 (level A1 and A2): certifies an elementary knowledge of the German language;
ZD - Zertifikat Deutsch (level B1): this is the unified diploma of the Goethe-Institut, the ÖSD and the University of Friborg;
B2 - Mittelstufe Deutsch (level B2): certifies advanced knowledge of the general language;
C1 Oberstufe Deutsch (level C1): certifies the ability to communicate in numerous situations of daily and professional life;
C2 Wirtschaftssprache Deutsch (level C2): developed in collaboration with the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, certifies a high level of command of the language and skills in technical, commercial and business German.
